Over a dozen hot-rod motorcycles made almost 50 Dyno Runs at the First Longhorn Horsepower Shoot-Out with crowds around the dyno trailer sometimes 8 deep and numbering into the hundreds. ...Motorcycles WAILED as Justin and his father Martin strapped them down to their machine and run ‘em WIDE OPEN in High Gear while the dyno read their power. The crowd just LOVED the sound of the motors straining against the machine as Justin loaded the fast spinning back wheel with resistance. ...Steve Holm with a ‘98 FLH took the V-Twin Class trophy with a top pull of 98.7 horsepower. In the Turbo Class Edgar DeLaFuente won with a 128.7 horsepower pull from his ‘06 Turbocharged V-Rod. It was Frank Clark’s ‘06 V-Rod though that took not only the V-Rod Class but Most Horsepower Overall with a 140.2 horsepower pull.
